01 · Client Challenge

What needed to be solved

The client required a neat, reliable, and standardized terminal distribution and relay control assembly to interface multi-core signal cables with control equipment (K1, K2 contactors/relays) while maintaining clear wire tagging, proper insulation, and structured cable routing for efficient troubleshooting and maintenance.

02 · Solution Delivered

How Humelix responded

Installed and configured modular DIN-rail mounted push-in terminal blocks with labeled terminal sets (JX, JX1, 202, PL, 14, 16, 17, A02, A10, A12). Terminated control wiring using color-coded insulated bootlace ferrules (red collars, rated 250V/10A) and heat-shrink sleeve wire markers (16/SXP, A2/SXP, A10/SXP, A12/SXP, 17/SXP). Integrated a 4-pole plug-in cross connector jumper across control terminals 14, 16, and 17 for signal commoning, organized wiring using slotted PVC trunking, and provided dedicated protective earthing (PE).

03 · Result / Outcome

The operational result

Delivered a clean, well organized, and fully labeled control panel interface that minimizes signal interference, prevents short circuits, ensures proper grounding, and enables rapid line testing and future maintenance.

Equipment / Materials

What supported the work

DIN rail modular terminal blocks, 4-pole plug-in terminal jumper plugs, insulated bootlace ferrules (red, rated 250V/10A), heat-shrink wire sleeve markers, 1.5 mm² stranded copper control cables, multi-core signal cabling, slotted PVC wiring duct, green/yellow PE grounding conductor, and panel mounting chassis with K1/K2 relay slots.

Safety Approach

How the site was controlled

Implemented full LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) isolation prior to wiring, utilized insulated hand tools and PPE, conducted wire continuity and insulation resistance testing, ensured protective earth (PE) continuity, and maintained strict cable segregation within trunking ducts.

Extended Outcome

Operational result

Provided circuit mapping, continuity verification across all terminal points, and clear ferrule marking standards for seamless handoff to the client's plant maintenance team.

Client Comment

“Humelix delivered a very neat and professionally labeled control panel setup. The clear tagging and structured terminal layout have made system tracking and maintenance completely hassle-free.”
